The Big Six - 20th Century Boy

You heard this catchy tune in The Truman Show. Very Nice.

Blue Oyster Cult - Spy In The House Of The Night

Some say the first 2 albums were the best for BOC. It was Agents Of Fortune, the fourth album, that made the band famous. I liked the next 7 albums very much as well. This offering was from the tenth album - Club Ninja.

Frank Zappa - I Don't Wanna Get Drafted

This got lots of radio play in the spring of 1980 in my college town. In this song "bustle" and "foxhole" are sung simultaneously, and by this method Frank Zappa smuggles a dirty word onto the public airwaves. Well done, Frank.

Yes - Love Will Find A Way

I love this thing and its complexity even as it seems to jump the shark. Let's discuss this - at CHEZ NOUS...

Andreas Vollenweider - Night Fire Dance

Only a few of his tunes worked for me. This one did.

The Lettermen - Shangra La

They recorded this in 1969. It's all about harmony isn't it.

Robson and Jerome - Saturday NIght At The Movies

The lads like classic old Pop and harmonize nicely. Hope you like.

Blake's Seven - The Series

I wouldn't have believed it but the entire series is on YouTube, right now, for you to enjoy. It will help if you are a boomer.

12/20/2014; These episodes are GONE. I hope you took your opportunity to download them.

Die, Rapidshare, Die

Rapidshare has been changing my interface and their rules too often ever since I joined. My downloadables are their hostages. I have cheerfully paid 50 or 80 Euros to Rapidshare from time to time for their sake. These newest terms would cost me 50 Euros each and every month but that's not going to happen. Download while you may.

If you want to repair an upright Midway Space Invaders machine you will need this manual. Its link is in the comments. Enjoy.

I still play the game from time to time with the MAME emulator and so could you.

40 Years Ago This Month

a book, "The Last Dangerous Visions", was announced by Harlan Ellison. As recently as 2007 Harlan said he still wants to get the book out. A narrative of this Worst Odyssey Ever was written by Christopher Priest. You can read it at Archive.Org here. It is all so disheartening.

There is little hope that Mr. Ellison will finish the book or experience the 50th anniversary of this process. If there is anything you can do about this, please give it a try.

Postscript. A famous Science Fiction writer sent me this advice;

Why not write to Mr Ellison direct and ask him how he's getting along with things?

WFMU - Sixty Second Song Remixes

This is a plug for WFMU, an NYC radio station that also streams and also offers podcasts. Here is their blog. I entered this contest 6 years ago and won an appearance on the 80-track CD. Here are the best 18 tracks from the CD for you to enjoy. It's fun to hear Hotel California again without the time commitment, and the same goes for Stairway To Heaven and Bolero. There is something interesting going on in every track. Download all the tracks in stereo if you like using the link in the comments.

Shahin & Sepehr - October Moon

The album version is just too long at 5 minutes plus. This radio version was better received, and is my favorite instrumental in a long while. Play it here and download it with a right-click if you like.
