Off The Charts - The Song-Poem Story - 2003

This documentary is about song-poems and the companies that transform them into records for a fee, and about the customers who wrote the lyrics, paid the fees, and had a dream. It's funny and uncomfortable. Link in comments. Teaser; Enjoy a short song-poem music-video right HERE.

Mind Meld - Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner

These two Star Trek actors met again in 2001 to discuss their lives and Trek. Leonard describes his alcohol abuse and the issues behind it. Bill talks about a personal tragedy of his own and the two of them discuss friction with the other Star Trek cast. Very informative and touching. Link in comments. The VIDEO is now also available. It's link is also in the comments.

Justin Hayward - Moving Mountains - 1985

The solo albums from Justin Hayward and John Lodge were always very listenable. Maybe some of these tunes should have gotten airplay. Link in comments.

Hear The Beatles Tell All - 1964

This lunch-money-stealing record shows how obnoxious the marketing became stateside. I was also unaware of the album that the Beatles appear on with The Four Seasons. Link in comments.

Graham Chapman - A Liar's Autobiography

Graham amusingly recounted his life in this 2-hour audiobook. And then he was gone. Link in comments.

Kismet Soundtrack - 1955

The Broadway musical got scrubbed and became a more tasteful MGM film for the entire family. In this one Ann Blyth and Vic Damone fall in love while Howard Keel and Delores Gray fall into something more sophisticated. We all go home happily once Howard dispatches the evil Sebastian Cabot. No operatic voices were used in the making of this musical which is something you might really like. Link in comments.

Terry Southern - Candy - Audiobook

Mason Hoffenberg helped write this smutty satirical novel. Terry reads the whole thing aloud for you in about 3 hours. Enjoy.

The War Of The Worlds - Orson Wells - 1938

Quite a flap resulted from this radio broadcast yet it turned out nicely for Orson Wells. This recording is in high quality. Link in comments.

Terry Southern - Unspeakable - 2001

Terry reads excerpts from CANDY and other writings with help from Martin Mull, Sandra Bernhardt, Michael O'Donoghue, and others. Terry liked to shock you into laughing I believe. Link in comments.

Kismet - 1967 - Television

Another musical production for television brought to you by Armstrong Flooring, maker of Excelon Tile. Jose Ferrer sings well enough and Barbara Eden swivels her way into your heart. The more suggestive numbers are subtracted from this Family Presentation. This videotape rip has the Armstrong commercials and some lost sync. About 420MB. Link in comments.
