Dr. Demento's 30th Anniversary Album - 2000

A double-disk collection with some tunes that never previously aired on his radio show. This turns out to be a good thing. Link in comments.

thanks for all of the great posts. Quick question: I was out of town for a bit and when I returned I could not access willardswormholes.com Since you list them as a recommended site, I was wondering if you knew what was going on?

Willard's seemed to have shut down. As you may have noticed, he was RE-posting his older posts for several weeks, and then, shut down 2 of his sub-sites. Then, the final day he posted "Goodbye" by Cream. That's all folks...

I found this on google;

We've Moved To Our Own Domain... http://www.willardswormholes.com/ Recent events @ Blogger, including a number of takedowns at this blog (and at others) ...

I got this when I followed the link;

This blog is open to invited readers only
http://thewormhole1.blogspot.com/

So I think it's gone private.

Uh oh........does anyone know how we get an invite?
btw Thank You for the Dr. D !!

Not I. I posted stuff there, and was linked-to by Wiliard, but no invite has arrived. Sigh...
Sometimes blogs go private, like forloveofharry.blogspot.com, and then only serve family and friends. It may be that nobody visits at all and the site sleeps, a sleep that might last forever.
I notice just now that the URL is avaiable, and FLOH is abandoned. So I swiped it...

Willard was unique for sure and had things you could only find there. Is there a comprehensive list of good music blogs out there? I'm pretty new to all of this but there are a number of blogs that I've come across that are closed that I wish I had access to.

Likewise. I've tried and never gotten invited to a single such blog. My 2 favorite resources are Mondo Exploito and Your Pal Doug's Pals. They are choosy about the sites they list, I think. I can't call them comprehensive.

Unfortunately, after reading the last couple of days' worth of comments at another site, it looks like Willard has retired after a solid decade. No talk at all of anything going private. It was a good run!

Jeez - really gonna miss the Wormhole - such a supreme source for many interests!
Hopefully NotVery can help us all fill the void!!

It's become even stranger -- after willard shut down, someone else launched a sort of "tribute" site, using the same graphics. The intent was to repost as much of the wormhole material as cold be scraped together, and reader uploads were invited. Suddenly, *that* site has gone private...so we're all squeezed out.

Everything will be fine. Some will disagree, but realistically I think there's enough out there for several lifetime's listening. Probably more. We will never get through what we've already downloaded. It becomes a never-ending habit to automatically d/l stuff, put it to one side for a rainy day, and never get around to it, because we're too busy looking for the next rar or zip. We need to break the cycle, step back, smell the coffee and listen to what we have. Yes?

Well, Radioman, I notice that I have a WILLARD folder that is entirely files that I have never even unzipped. Ahem.
