This was the first movie produced by American Public Television. I loved the movie when it aired in 1980 and wanted to see it again. But it did not air and was not available for sale! In 1987 I found a web page from a person who was willing to provide VHS copies to the faithful and got one. The movie went into print 13 years later and I bought the DVD. It has gone out of print since and will probably stay that way. Learn more about the movie here. You could download a 329MB version of the movie from YouTube but I think you will prefer the quality of this 1.58GB file instead. There was another - Between Time and Timbuktu. Based on a Kurt Vonnegut short story. Starred William Hickey and Bob & Ray.
Never saw a release, and the stuff on youtube are pathetic.
I found BETWEEN TIME AND TIMBUKTU as a 1.3GB MKV file. That's the good news. The video looks to me to be something that was uploaded to YouTube and then downloaded again. It has too much contrast and saturation. I will watch it begrudgingly. Maybe this is all that remains of the film? Tell me if you want the file for yourself.

Saw a poor quality of BTAT l watchable... at least the audio was good. Truthfully it was the audio that carried it, specially Bob & Ray!
My question - this was produced by PUBLIC TV! Why aren't we able to get a good copy that the Public financed?
I would like to see what you found, if you think it is better than what's on Youtube.

I found a short BTAT segment on youtube and it's quality is better than the thing I found on UseNet. So, do you have the whole movie in that quality, you lucky guy? If so, I would sure like a copy of it for myself. I'd like to post it, also, if you don't mind.
