Are you familiar with the Australian "Frank Bennett's" Creep? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsiP-GrbbD0

I occasionally played it in my office when i worked in the USA - it was great when people walking past, suddenly backtracked from down the corridor when their brain suddenly worked out what they'd heard.

So many lounge/swing-ified stuff appeared in the 90s, with my favourite being Steve & Eydie's "Black Hole Sun", although some friends of mine did a swing version of Stairway to Heaven which has almost supplanted the original in my memory. It was done for an Australian show called The Money or the Gun, where a cover of Stairway was performed at the end of every episode. There was a video & CD compilation, but you'll find many on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQuGub7yzpA&list=PLB51C97ADB8ED0B89

I just tried Frank Bennett doing Everybody Wants To Rule The World on Youtube and the arrangement is very sweet just as Frant is real sour.
