The Tick - 2017

I am binge-watching this thing and have been curious as to where it was shot. This moment shows it was shot in NYC. Other scenes were also shot in this same neighborhood.

My jag lasted only 6 episodes because that's all the episodes made available right now. The remaining 6 will be available next year.

Very different from the Partick Warburton series (RIP), but no less brilliant in its own way. :D

If I can watch CABIN IN THE WOODS and laugh I ought to be able to get past this. My problem is that I keep expecting the cartoon - wrong wrong and wrong.

As someone who has been reading the Ben Edlund comic since it began (literally) I concur- it's amazing to find this blue guy still popping up in pop culture. Please share that second season when you can!

To answer your question- yes, it was all shot in NYC. I recognized many of the settings- the photo you posted is in Harlem, right in front of a friend's home. The episode at a bank (season 2, Lobstercules) was shot in Sunnyside, Queens, at a now-defunct bank. There's tons of spots all over the show from NYC... or like, Aegis' headquarters' exterior shot is in downtown (with a CGI top, of course.) The Aegis Open House was shot inside the Museum of Moving Image in Queens... etc. And the crew is 100% NYC.

Thanks a lot. I'm not successful in finding season 2 just yet. Whimper.
