Star Trek Memories - 1993

"Boldly going where no audio has gone before, Star Trek Memories is William Shatner's own behind-the-scenes look at the legendary '60s television series that continues to spawn movies, books, and series spin-offs 26 years after the last episode aired. Avid Trekkers are sure to be delighted with this first-hand account from Captain Kirk himself". Link in comments.

What fun. This blog began in 2007 and I started posting earnestly in 2012. There are now more than 810 total posts. Almost all of these posts have downloadables and none of the links are broken, thanks to Google Drive which hosts all of my files for FREE! Everyone hates link rot. It encourages bloggers to quit, and encourages blog visitors to stop visiting. Yesterday I visited blogs FunkyFrolic, TheCrimeLounge, and ShatnersToupee and loved what I saw but it's all for nought.

My downloadables will be available until Google goes the way of Altavista. I recommend you use the JUMP THROUGH THIS BLOG links on my blog to help you find some goodies.

Ah yes, I for one, have traveled to the distant lands of your blog's humble beginnings and have enjoyed the comical and interesting ride through the years.

I raise my glass to you.

I have this and the Movie Memories books in print. Fantastic.

I love your blog, it’s one of the ones I check regularly.

This exceeded ALL expectations. I'm only a casual fan of Star Trek...and even more so of William Shatner. That did NOT matter here. This is a captivating listen and also proves to be as educational as it is entertaining. It's VERY informative regarding industry protocol and series trivia. For first time ever I was moved to a point of obsession that made me want to know more AND turn on NETFLIX for a non-stop marathon of original series episodes! The crazy thing is that I'm only 3/4 of the way through Shatner's Narrative. So far, the time(over 3 hours) went by in the blink of an eye. The closer I get to the end, the more I dread it. I know that I will back left longing for more. I can easily picture myself listening to this a second time! Thank you, ever so kindly!

You are very welcome. Another Shatner thing is on its way and I think you will like it too.

@Kwai, the audio version is abridged, so if you want to know more, check out the print or digital edition of the book. It’s excellent.

@Alan...
I am truly in awe of how taken I've been by this audio version. I have been referencing each episode as it's discussed. My appreciation for the original series has increased exponentially. Shatner has taken his typical schtick to new levels of integrity. I have never been so captivated by the man. I guess it's possible that he might have been so busy or jaded with the personification of the Tiberius Swagger that its greatness eluded him. Regardless, I find it absolutely gratifying to hear Shatner sound so proud/awestruck by his own accomplishment. To boldly go where no ego has gone before. Again, I have a new appreciation for the original series, for William Shatner and for the compassion of our host(Edfray) in his gifting us this opportunity. It is beyond the Prime Directive and/or any personal objective. It's kind of strange to find such a hefty dose of substantial content for download on the blogspot realm. Its greatness will be ongoing!
Thank you, Alan. I will definitely be on the lookout for your recommendation. And thank you, Edfray. I am somehow closer to the "Live Long And Prosper" context than I've ever been.
The original Star Trek series is truly a remarkable accomplishment that I had somehow overlooked.
Thanks for all your help! I sincerely appreciate it.

Edfray, if you don’t mind me asking, how do you get free Google Drive space? I’m guessing you have more than 15gb of files shared here. I have a couple of accounts but have tried not to overdo it.

Here's how: Pick and install a secondary browser to use other than your favorite. Pick Google Chrome if it's available. Other choices include Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, Safari, and others. Get a new Google sign-on using your new secondary browser. Get a Google Drive and stuff it full of warez. When full get yet another Google sign-on for that secondary browser, and repeat. You can accumulate Google Drives without limit. I am sharing in excess of 100 gigabytes I believe. Party on.

Thanks. I always assumed that if I ended up acquiring too many accounts, they’d eventually figure it out by my use of multiple accounts from the same IP.

I don't think it works that way, Alan. Google does sometimes make you log off of one account before it lets you log onto a different one. But if you are using a different browser for each of those 2 accounts you are cool.

Over the yeaars I've come to really enjoy Bill Shatner. Granted, he's 'a sawggering braggert with delusions of godhood', but get gets the joke and has a lot of fun with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaB_G1WNT70
