The Beach Boys - Surfin Safari - 1962

Laika Sex Machine - 2001

Laika And The Cosmonauts played Surf Rock with a Finnish influence. They also took TV and movie themes and gave them the same organ-heavy treatment. Included also is a fun interview for NPR from 2004. The fixed link is in the comments.

Red Elvises - Grooving To The Moscow Beat

1996. The band had already been in the business awhile when they recorded this, their first English language album and perhaps their best work. A few years later their gun-slinger guitarist split and so it went. Link in comments.

The Surf Coasters - Surfside Village - 1995

This second album was recorded after they toured Japan with Dick Dale. The playing is not inhibited. Twenty more albums followed for this group that actually did become BIG IN JAPAN. Link in comments.

Brian Wilson - Pet Sounds Live - 2002
