The Best Of Bond... James Bond

This CD collects many James Bond themes that were NOT done by John Barry. There are twenty of them in fact. Link in comments.

Thanks for all the great stuff you share. I have an obscure request but it seems like you might know what I'm talking about. A long time ago I stumbled upon a compilation of clips from B-movie trailers, horror and other weirdness called "Radio Spot Apocolypse" Apparently there are at least 4 volumes out there, perhaps more. I'm looking for anything of this sort if you have it. Thanks!

USENET doesn't have this stuff. I lose. Cinemawasteland.com does and sells Radio Spot Apocalypse CDs and lots of them. A credit card will pick this lock.

Excellent blog--thanks for the shares! My Dr. Demento Anniversary Collection CDs got lost when we moved--thanks to you, I don't have to buy them again. Weird obscure request for you: Had a bunch of CDs stolen from my car several years ago now. I've been able to physically replace or download copies of all but one: The Best of Irish Folk Music, publisher is Fiesta. Apparently so far out of print that no one admits to having had it. Wondering if you're able to mine your sources for it? I'd be grateful if you could, and if not, thanks anyway for all the amazing stuff you have out here!

So Sheila; the only near-hit I find on Usenet is the four-volume CELTIC LOVE COLLECTION which is Irish Folk Music that doesn't particularly have to do with love.

So Sheila; I think I found the record on Ebay. Have a search if you please. I don't rip records anymore, myself.

Hi, Edfray! Thanks for the research. Unfortunately, the tracks on the record are not the same as the tracks on the CD. Oh well. It's very frustrating--the only evidence I have that this CD ever existed is a record in WorldCat, which claims that a library in Santa Clara County, CA, has a copy...if I feel like hopping into my car and driving a thousand miles to find out! (https://www.worldcat.org/title/best-of-irish-folk-music/oclc/23289509, if you're curious.)

Thank you very much for looking, anyway. I say again, your blog is amazing--having a lot of fun browsing it and finding new, weird stuff!

You are very welcome.

Can anyone please upload the soundtrack to summer rental? Thank you!

I would but I don't have it and it's not on USENET. Anybody else got it?

Hi! Thanks for all your sharing. I specially like the Spike Jones and Firesign Theatre posts.
Do you think it would be possible to find and post the "A Session With The Committe" movie, by the SF troupe of the same name? It must be from around 1969. There are some short excerpts on youtube but the movie itself is long out of print. Many thanks for all your sharing!

My superpower is my subscription to USENET. Alas, this thing is not on USENET.

Edfray, thank you! I just had to ask seeing how many other rare / out of print stuff you have shared. For the curious, here's the reference to the committee's movie https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064962/ . Thanks and keep safe.

Thanks. This late-sixties stuff is slipping away and won't be back.
