This was previously released as WILLIAM SHATNER LIVE, a recording of an appearance before a college audience in 1977. Bill does 42 minutes of readings and then happens to mention that the first Star Trek film was being cast with him in it. The crowd goes nuts. Link in comments.

That's right. It takes a BOT to like a Shatner album.
On the album cover, Bill seems to be brandishing a tripod as a laser rifle, perhaps?
I think so too - going for a laugh I suppose.
