Hawaiian Favorites - 1957

America sure seemed to be in love with Hawaii after World War 2. As a young paperboy I saw a lot of living rooms with Hawaiian themes. By the way, the model on the record jacket isn't authentically Hawaiian - she's more like the music inside.

The Yeager Tapes... An Autobiography



Here is the autobiography of Chuck Yeager as read by Bob Collins, mostly, and by Chuck and his wife Glennis. Chuck describes his life as a hunter, an airplane mechanic, a pilot, and a leader. He was shot down during WW2 but escaped and returned to duty over Europe. After the war he became a test pilot and broke the speed of sound. You will see how military jealousies complicated his career. They always do. Six wonderful hours of audio. Link in comments.
