National Lampoon - Years 2, 3, and 4

Archive.Org has posted all the issues of the magazine for anyone with an internet connection to read. So someone should post all the issues as PDF so they can be enjoyed offline as well. It might be practical for that someone to bundle them up in 1GB zip files. Link in comments.

Dark Side Of The Rainbow

This is also known as Dark Side of Oz or The Wizard of Floyd and refers to the pairing of the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon with the film The Wizard of Oz. It results in moments in which the two seem to correspond. Visit Wikipedia to learn more about the claims of synchronicity.

The Youtube version of this video is muddy and I wanted to make a better one available. A person who works in DVD authoring made this for us. The resulting video tastes great and is less filling at 396MB. Link in comments.

In Search Of The Castaways - 1962

Maurice Chevalier and lovable Hayley Mills sing the tunes ENJOY IT and LET'S CLIMB from the Disney movie. They are each so cute - please don't make me choose. Link in comments.

David Frye Collection

My most frequent visitor, Anonymous, dropped his external hard drive and wants his Frye back. I notice also that some of my older downloadables, hosted by THE BOX, are no longer available. Thanks for nothing, BOX, and be my guest and die, die, and die some more. Here are three David Frye LP's previously posted on this blog - Richard Nixon Superstar, Radio Free Nixon, and Nixon - A Fantasy. Enjoy. Link in comments.

Surfin' Bird - The Trashmen - 1963

I vividly remember where I was when this bizarre and astonishing tune played on the radio for the first time. The previous song had been something from Pat Boone. Wonderful.

Duck's Breath Mystery Theatre - Senseless Cruelty - 1989

This is the last ensemble project by The Ducks if you ignore the "Zadar - Cow From Hell!" film from 1989 and the reunion show they did in 2005. The five Ducks- Jim Turner, Leon Martell, Merle Kessler, Dan Coffey, and Bill Allard worked separately thereafter. Link in comments.

Greetings From Duck's Breath - 1985

This cassette was available in 1985 which proves that Wikipedia doesn't know everything. It collected material by the Ducks between Out Of Season( 1980 ) and Born To Be Tiled( 1986 ). And there is more stuff from The Ducks out there. Link actually in comments, honest.

The Best Of TKK - 2004

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult still exists and did a new CD just last year. This Best-Of from 2004 was a fine survey of the band so-far and is out-of-print. Link in comments. Here is a link to a very early album from TKK as well.

Eight Miles High - Joe Goldmark

All of the harmony in this song from The Byrds seems to survive the transcription for Pedal-Steel Guitar. Press play and see if you think so too. Crank it up.
