The Columbia Records bullpen performs for you again. The artists include Streisand, Andy Williams, Mathis, The King Family, Ray Conniff, Bing, and the Mormon freaking Tabernacle Choir. My Christmas spirit needs help perhaps. Link in comments.
David Frye does the voices of Tricky Dick, Lyndon Johnson, Billy Graham, William F. Buckley, Howard Cosell, Hubert Humphrey, and others. Frye was perhaps at the height of his powers. The cover art is by Jack Davis who was much seen in MAD Magazine. Link in comments.
Groucho Marx was in fine form and sings with Marvin Hamlisch at the piano. He tells stories that involve Houdini, Fanny Brice, Will Rogers, Winston Churchill, and others. Link in comments.
The pieces on this album that are still admired might include Wheels, Blue Angel, and The Stars And Strips Forever - with piccolo part. Link in comments.
We were all bemused in the spring of 1968 when this silly tune was being played on the air every hour, all day long. Guy Marks sings the hit song and other old novelty tunes. Peter De Angelis was the main arranger and waves the stick. Link in comments.
This was a special limited-edition soundtrack now out-of-print. I enjoyed the movie on the big screen and wanted to hear the soundtrack again and again. Crank up the volume. Link in comments.
This collection of radio appearances by Fields includes his dispute with Charlie McCarthy the puppet. Luckily Edgar Bergen was there to intercede. Link in comments.
It's back. Robin Williams was wonderful as Popeye and Shelly Duvall was born to play Olive Oyl. The movie was bizarre - just like the cartoon. Link in comments.
There was little to like in Gigi except this. Maurice Chevalier and Hermione Gingold talk and sing. If you and I were to go on a trip together I would eventually perform this and you would hear me. Sorry.
Some say the first 2 albums were the best for BOC. It was Agents Of Fortune, the fourth album, that made the band famous. I liked the next 7 albums very much as well. This offering was from the tenth album - Club Ninja.
This got lots of radio play in the spring of 1980 in my college town. In this song "bustle" and "foxhole" are sung simultaneously, and by this method Frank Zappa smuggles a dirty word onto the public airwaves. Well done, Frank.
Rapidshare has been changing my interface and their rules too often ever since I joined. My downloadables are their hostages. I have cheerfully paid 50 or 80 Euros to Rapidshare from time to time for their sake. These newest terms would cost me 50 Euros each and every month but that's not going to happen. Download while you may.
