    I wonder if it's possible to re-digitilize this album in Flac to preserve the highest quality of the sound. Mp3 is an oldfashioned format and the low bitrate 128 kbps is a very poor quality to listen to it.

    I think it is possible. You could re-digitize the album if you had the LP. Obtain the vinyl and rip it as flac. You will then be able to evaluate the limitations of vinyl and choose the most appropriate quality for your share.
